Stratatomic Launches New Website for Copper River Grill at CopperRiverGrill.com
GREENVILLE, SC - Stratatomic has recently launched a new website for Copper River Grill, now available at
CopperRiverGrill.com.
The new website is custom designed and coded and based on the latest
HTML5 technology. It incorporates a "
responsive" design that automatically adjusts to fit any screen size, including desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device. This website marks the third iteration in a long business relationship that dates back to 2006, and includes a number of enhancements that have helped Copper River Grill keep pace with changing trends in design and technology.
The website includes updated
online gift card ordering and E-Club subscription management utilizing Stratatomic's
WebAdmin™ technology. Introduced in 2013, the Copper River Grill E-Club now has more than 16,000 subscribers. Other website improvements include a new
Early Bird Menu,
Lunch Menu and
Gluten Sensitive Menu. The website includes Twitter and Instagram integration, and interactive
Google maps are provided for directions to each restaurant location.
Stephen Stinson provided the mouth-watering food photography for the new website.
One of the highlights is the incorporation of the
Support Animal Rescue page which serves as a fundraiser for
Auction For A Kaws, a non-profit organization with a focus on providing housing, veterinary care and rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals. The page features the Animal Rescue Hall of Fame, showcasing a gallery of photos of local animals that have been rescued. Copper River Grill utilizes Stratatomic's
WebAdmin™ technology to maintain the gallery and keep it up to date with new rescues.
Dan Angell, CEO of Copper River Grill, remarked: "We are extremely pleased with our new site. The menu presentation is better than ever, the site is very easy to navigate, and the photos are great. We have had more traffic and we have increased our gift card sales and E-Club memberships since the site went live. We are also very happy that our new website has increased awareness and support for local animal rescue groups in our communities. Thanks to Ryan Owens and the team at Stratatomic for their hard work, creativity and insight."
Stratatomic also provides the restaurant group with Menu Design and Print Management, Table Cards, Advertising,
Web Hosting,
Google Analytics™ and
Google WebTools™ for comprehensive site performance analysis and
SEO management.
Stratatomic was previously honored with a
2012 Horizon Interactive Award for the second iteration of the CopperRiverGrill.com website as well as a
2014 Horizon Interactive Award for the Copper River Grill Email Campaign.

.COM Domains Reportedly To Get More Expensive
As per a new agreement between ICANN and Verisign, the price of domains ending in .com may go up in the coming years.
Domain registrar Namecheap reports that the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has allowed Verisign to increase the wholesale price of .com domains.
The new contract allows Verisign to charge domain registrars 7% more for .com domains per year for the next 4 years (2020-2023). Prices will then be frozen for 2 years, followed by more increases between 2026 and 2029.
In theory, within 10 years time, the price of .com domains could cost roughly 70% more than their current selling price.
A press release from ICANN states:
"While Verisign does not set retail prices for .COM domain names, the proposed amendment to the .COM RA will provide pricing certainty by limiting the potential maximum wholesale price for .COM domain names. For example, if the four standard price increases are taken in this six-year period, the maximum wholesale price for .COM domain names would be $8.39 no earlier than Oct. 26, 2020 (compared to $7.85 today), and cannot exceed $10.26 until October 2026."
What Does This Mean for Site Owners?
It is presumed that the increased cost of .com domains for registrars be passed along to consumers, although that is not known for sure at this point.
The contract also allows for other price increases for "extraordinary" situations. So the price of .com domains could go up for consumers by more or less than 7% per year.
This agreement will not affect the cost of other top-level domains. However, .com domains are by far the most widely used. According to Namecheap, there are 359.8 million total domain names, of which 144 million are .com.
Namecheap alleges that ICANN and Verisign made these changes in secret without seeking any feedback from internet users.
